All too often we women spend much of our time rushing around and attending to other people's needs or trying to be superwoman and do it all. Then we find that we are exhausted and detached from ourselves as we focus merely on the things that we have to get done in the day and we forget to celebrate our lives and take joy in the simple moments.

You cannot move at break neck speed forever. Often we will collapse into a heap and become exhausted, depressed, cranky or even physically ill. As well as doing the things you need to do, it is important to take moments for yourself and try new things.

Life is too short to go through it with your head down all the time. You might need to spring clean your life and find time to do the things that you enjoy and allow yourself to really live in the moment. There are several things that you can do to make sure that you are living a fulfilling life right now.

There are many women who fall back on wearing the same hair style or make up for years on end. You can get yourself out of this rut by attending a grooming workshop and learning about other colors and styles that would suit you and bring your look more up to date. This can do wonders for your self esteem and confidence.

The next thing to do is to make sure that you have a regular exercise routine. Take up a new sport, join the gym, organize a walking group with some friends or anything else that interests you. By doing some exercise three times a week you will get fitter and look better as well as being healthier. Exercising also releases endorphins which make you feel happier.

Stay away from lose weight fast ploys as they are unlikely to work and they may sap your energy and make you feel worse. If you are wanting to lose some weight, then just stick to a balanced eating plan as well as exercising regularly. Take an audit of your diet and find ways to include more fresh produce and less processed foods: this will make you feel infinitely more energetic.

If you are busy all the time trying to get things done, you tend to forget about your interests and goals. Don't neglect all the different aspects of your being: try to find something that you can do to enrich your emotional, intellectual, spiritual and physical aspects.

On top of looking out for your health and diet, trying new things can also open up your world and make you happier and less stressed. Trying new hobbies or activities such as cake decorating classes, dancing, painting, learning a language or anything else that interests you can be a great step forwards.
