Under the Atkins weight loss plan, you can eat all the meat, eggs, and cheese you want, while cutting back on carbohydrates such as pasta, bread, and fruit. The theory behind the Atkins Diet is that increasing protein intake and reducing carbohydrate use will change your metabolism, allowing you to lose weight.
If you want six pack abs, then most ab exercises are NOT going to help. The reality is that in order to get (and see) those 6 pack abs, you need to be doing two very specific things.
You need to be doing higher intensity full body workouts and paying close attention to the foods you put in your mouth. That’s the formula.
But I’m going to assume that you’ve got those 2 components in place, right? Especially if you’ve been using any of my workout programs.
With that said, what I’m about to share with you today is a great abs workout to strengthen your abs and core.
But let me remind that doing “traditional” abdominal exercises will ONLY strengthen your abs/core muscles and not necessarily burn belly fat.
They generally focus on smaller muscles that don’t elicit a big metabolic response (ie. don’t burn a lot of calories).
Since this is an advanced six pack abs workout, I’ve thrown in 3 core exercises that incorporate a ton of muscle mass, which will not only strengthen and tone your abs but also help you burn belly fat faster than those boring and sit-ups!
